The flood water got under the Mexican tile, it takes time to dry out the tile and the concrete slab. In 2024 Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm, emerged as the strongest hurricane on record for this region and the deadliest storm since Hurricane Katrina. Helene’s impact extended beyond its projected path, inundating communities along Florida’s west coast with record storm surges ranging from 6 to 12 feet, affecting areas as far south as Sarasota.
