Mexican Tile Renew Project On Siesta Key Fl Where Mop & Glo Had Been Used Over and Over and Turned the Mexican Tile Brown.

Thursday, February 20, 2025; Mexican Tile Renew Project On Siesta Key Fl Where Mop & Glo Had Been Used Over and Over for 20 Years and Turned the Mexican Tile Brown. Mexican Tile Renew has perfected a staining technique to apply original colors to old Mexican tile floors where the color has been worn off or terribly soiled.

Yes, using Mop & Glo on Mexican tile floors (like Saltillo tile) is generally considered bad because it can leave a residue buildup that attracts dirt and dulls the tile's appearance over time, making it not ideal for cleaning sealed tile floors; it's best to use a pH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for tile instead. Mexican Tile Renew has perfected a staining technique to apply original colors to old Mexican tile floors where the color has been worn off or terribly soiled.

Stop mopping your Mexican tile floors with pine sol, and especially mop and glow! They both leave build up of film that can be extremely difficult to remove. Fabuloso and to a much less severe extent even the wet swifter pads can start to leave a buildup of soap that will trap dirt and grime. Instead use tiny bit of ph neutral floor cleaner made for hard surfaces in a traditional tight mop bucket. Mexican Tile Renew has perfected a staining technique to apply original colors to old Mexican tile floors where the color has been worn off or terribly soiled.

Mexican Tile Renew Project of 14 Year Old Flooring in Home in Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida.

Mexican Tile Renew Project of 14 Year Old Flooring in Home in Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida. Since Mexican tiles are handcrafted each tile is unique, uneven surfaces and not all sides are square so Mexican tile always ends up with a very wide grout joint sometimes up to 1" inch wide.

Mexican Tile Renew Project of 14 Year Old Flooring in Home in Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida. since the grout joints of Mexican tile are so wide it is recommended to use a darker color, if lighter colors are used it is highly recommended to keep the joints clean and sealed to avoid staining of the light grout color.
Mexican Tile Renew Project of 14 Year Old Flooring in Home in Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida. In most cases it is recommended to have your Mexican tile flooring stripped, cleaned and resealed every 8 to 10 years as eventually the applied sealer becomes firth and unable to keep clean. Mexican Tile Renew has been in the Mexican tile cleaning and sealing business for over 30 years A+ Better Business Bureau (BBB) Rating. CALL MEXICAN TILE RENEW 941-926-7444 we service Venice, Boca Grande, Nokomis, Osprey, Casey Key, Siesta Key, Sarasota, Bird Key, Long Boat Key, Lido Key, Lakewood Ranch, Holmes Beach, Anna Maria Island, South St Pete, and Bradenton Florida.
Mexican Tile Renew Project of 14 Year Old Flooring in Home in Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Southwest Florida. Mexican Tile's natural, warm colors and durability make it a popular choice for informal rooms, such as the kitchen and sun-room. Even a properly sealed floor eventually acquires layers of soil from foot traffic and frequent spills. Where the sealer has worn away or was never applied, the porous tile holds the dirt deeper than normal household cleaners and mops can reach. Dirt and stains are ground into waxes and acrylic coatings.

Saturday September 21st, 2024 completed Mexican Tile Renew Project at The Pink Elephant Restaurant Bar in Boca Grande Fl with Mex Tile that was installed in 1947, over 77 years ago, and the Mex Tile has had severe water damage over the years. The white spots you see on the Mexican tile in the before photo above is called Efflorescence which is caused by water getting under the Mex tile via a flood or constant water intrusion. The source of the water must be diverted or shut down. Efflorescence is a white deposit (usually calcium carbonate) that develops on the surface of grout and/or tiles as they dry out. It happens when soluble, naturally occurring mineral salts contained in Portland cement, or materials used in conjunction with it, rise to the surface.
